During the total
lunar eclipse of November 28/29,
1993, the moon's coppery orb
appeared suspended among the
sparkling stars of Taurus, the
bull. To the moon's lower left
lies the V-shaped star grouping known
as the Hyades, and to its upper
right, the star cluster called
the Pleiades. These, of course,
are trillions of miles farther
than the moon, our nearest
celestial neighbor.
