Few things
combine as perfectly as
moonlight, clouds and stars,
especially when they're in the
sky over Mungo National Park in
southeastern Australia.
Just to the right of the tank
lie the four stars of the famous
Southern Cross and, to its
right, the two bright stars Beta
and Alpha Centauri. Alpha
is the nearest star system
beyond our sun at a distance of
about 26 trillion miles (or 4.3
light years). Above the
tank appears a diffuse pink
smudge―the beautiful Eta Carina
Nebula. |
